Running wrong line, 37109
passes Hagside Level Crossing on the Manchester Metrolink with an
engineering train bound for Whitefield bank. In contrast to previous

37229 and 37194
make a fine sight approaching Bristol Temple Meads while working 6M67
Bridgewater-Crewe flask empties. Often when running early, the train sits
in the through road, but not this time as they departed with much noise
causing head turning on the part of the public awaiting their trains! March 2007 |

'Le Beast Aux France';

| 37401 and 37405 catch the sun while standing under the magnificent York trainshed after arrival with a Compass Tours charter from Wolverhampton which then went forward on a small mini charter via the Harrogate Circle and Leeds back to York. March 2008 |
|||
| 37401 and 37417 - the EWS charter pair during 2008 - stand at Carlisle after a run over the Settle & Carlisle with a charter from London Kings Cross. The pair then worked the return run from Carlisle all the way through to London Kings Cross. May 2008 |

| 37401
and newly reinstated 37670 stand at Rannoch while working Day 3 of
Pathfinder Tours 'The Easter West Highlander' from Fort William to Oban.
Unfortunately, due to the failure of 37406, the promised traction only
produced on two out of the four days with GM traction for the remainder. April 2009 |

Running as 0Z68 Washwood Heath-Bescot for route learning purposes,
37406 The Saltire Society emerges from the shadows at
Birmingham new street next to what is perhaps a more common sight. '406
had worked the inward 0Z67 from Bescot but terminated short at Saltley and
returned as an early 0Z68, pausing at New St to regain its booked path. April 2007 |

|
Refurbished by HNRC at Barrow
Hill, 37409 stands at Gresty Bridge during the 2010 DRS Open Day.
Named 'Lord Hinton' at the event after the former head of the Atomic
Energy
Authority (AEA) who were responsible for building Britain's nuclear
infrastructure, a name quite fitting as this loco is set to play a big
part in the forthcoming nuclear power station
decommissioning programme in the future. July 2010 |
|||
|
37406 storms through
Bescot Stadium station with 6W04 Bescot-Pwllheli-Bescot round trip for
overnight engineering work on the Cambrian line with a rake of 10
autoballaster hoppers. Freightliners' 66530 is stabled in the
distance. April 2007 |

|
37410 stands outside
the shed at Wembley Traincare Depot (aka The Palace of Engineering) while
working the first of two 'Silverlink Swansong' railtours to mark the end
of the Silverlink franchise. 37417 was on the rear of the train,
just visible outside the shed. Taken with permission. November 2007 |
|||
|
Working its last passenger train before storage due to lack of OTMR equipment, 37410 arrives at Shipley with Pathfinder Tours' 'The Festive Yorkshireman' which it worked with 37417 from Swindon. The return from Leeds suffered problems in the Manchester area when 37417 failed, leaving 37410 working on its own back to Newport. December 2007 |
|||
|
The use of 37410 as
carriage heater at Stoke on Trent Marcroft Works has ended and the loco is
now dumped at the end of the works' headshunt with an uncertain future. Note taken from a public viewpoint. May 2010 |

37422 'Cardiff Canton'
passes Coseley in the evening sun working the afternoon Wolverhampton
Steel Terminal-Bescot 'tripper' conveying a mix of open and covered steel
wagons. 37422 was the first of a trio of Class 37/4 overhauls undertaken
at Cardiff Canton but has been plagued with engine issues since then and
as of April 2009 is stored at Eastleigh TMD. April 2007 |
|||
|
A stored 37422 stands
inside Eastleigh Works during the 'Eastleigh 100' event held at the
Hampshire works in summer 2009. The former 'Robert F Farlie' had, by this
time, failed once again with engine troubles and was transferred over from
its storage location at the adjacent Eastleigh TMD for the event. May 2009 |
|||
| 37423 arrives, unusually, into Platform 7 at Doncaster with the ECS for a Network Rail inspection saloon trip to Hull Docks. July 2008 |
