  EWS owned 56006 stands in Barrow Hill Roundhouse undergoing attention to return it to working order for use in the upcoming 'Type 5' gala event at the roundhouse on August 8/9th which will feature classmates 56101 and 56098.

  Visiting from the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) along with 47765 and making its first foray away from 'home' since its restoration was completed, 56097 stands at Heywood awaiting departure for Bury and Ramsbottom during the 2010 summer diesel gala at the East Lancashire Railway.

  56303 crosses over to the Blyth & Tyne at Morpeth while working Pathfinder Tours' 'The Choppington Changer'. 56303 had worked the tour from Doncaster, taking over from a Class 92, and it worked to Newcastle via the circular B+T route via Ashington and Choppington.

56311 and 56312 stand in the sun at Bristol Temple Meads with a Pathfinder Railtours excursion to Penzance for the Mazey Day local celebrations. This was the first long distance test run for 56311 (formerly 56057) following an engine swap with 56114 at Washwood Heath.

  56312 standing at Peterborough NVR during the 2008 October diesel gala prior to it going mainline with Colas Rail. Previously 56003, the loco is now owned by Hanson Traction after sale from preservation during the 2008.
